The Montane Prism 2.0 is a specialist technical jacket that is ideal if you are looking for a super light windproof jacket with a moderate amount of insulation. The insulation is Primaloft ensuring that you get good insulation for a modest weight.
If you want a warm outer jacket for day long use on cold days then the Montane Flux may be a better bet. But if you are looking for a really light outer to keep the wind and cooler conditions at bay then the Prism 2.0 is ideal.
The lined hood is both warm and of a technical design that makes it really useful.
The Prism comes into its own when you are looking for a "just in case jacket" that will compress down well in your pack and that you will take out for stops and end of day use. It offers many of the benefits of a light down jacket without the worry of being caught out in damp conditions.
