What make sthe Montane Photon jacket special is the fact that it is made from Pertex Shield fabric. This fabric makes it possible for Montane to design a cycling jacket that is waterproof, highly breathable and windproof while at the same time being light, packable and affordable. To date the choice of a cycling jacket has been between one that is waterproof and bulky or merely water resistant and light. The Montane Photon puts an end to this compromise.
The design is also no compromise with no hood, a high front hem and dropped tail and practical long arms. The jacket includes 2.7m of highly reflective piping.

- As with all MONTANE clothing PERTEX Fabric contains a Durable Water Repellency (DWR) as the first barrier to keeping you dry. Clean your garment in order to maintain this.
- Machine wash in warm water at 40C/104F with a mild soap. MONTANE recommends that you use Nikwax Tech Wash.
- DO NOT use fabric softeners or bleach.
- It may be required every 6 months or so to reproof the garment to restore its water repellency. MONTANE recommends Nikwax TX Direct.
