The Montane Halo jacket is made from a stretch version of eVent fabric. You only need to try a stretch shell jacket to realise the benefits which are particularly relevant if you involved in more athletic activities such as climbing. The jacket can be made with a closer fitting cut and yet still retain the ability to allow extensive movement.
It is more common to encounter stretch fabric in soft shell jackets but these fabrics often have limited ability to handle serious rain. The Montane Halo is a genuine fully waterproof shell jacket with proper taped seams. This makes it suitable for UK conditions where a soft shell jacket would be of less use. When combined with the breathability of eVent you get a superb garment that offers the best of both worlds, comfort and full protection.
