Inov8 Recolite 190

The Recolite 190 is quite a departure for Inov8. Up until now their shoes have been designed as hard core shoes for competitors in events. The arrival of the Recolite 190 hsows how much Inov8 have evolved as a brand in that they can now offer a leisure shoe for everyday wear.

The Recolite 190 enters the part of the market dominated by Keen. Effectively sandals for people who still want something a bit serious on their feet.

Weighing only 190 grams and with loads of air vents these shoes are idealy suited to warmer conditions.

We were fascinated to try the Inov8 Recolite 190's and after a few days use we can confirm that we like them a lot. As you would expect these are not shoes for athletic activities so you are not going to be running or hiking in them. But as everyday leisure footwear they are great. The first impression of the Recolite 190's are that they are extremely light but also very soft and flexible. This combined with a minimal heel rise means they will feel at home to anyone who is into barefoot style shoes ( like Vibram 5 fingers for example). They are comfortable in the extreme and yet at the same time offer excellent protection including helping to ensure you do not stub your toe. Lots of ventilation means they will be perfect in warmer weather but with socks I found them fine in April.
